The Oaks School of Leadership exists to position students for effective leadership in a variety of capacities, including ministry, business, missions and education, by providing them with hands-on leadership training combined with the education they will receive with Southwestern Assemblies of God University.
Through a strategic partnership, SAGU-OSL students may enroll in bachelor’s and master’s degree programs through SAGU, a regionally accredited university.
There are more than 25+ internship opportunities in SAGU-OSL, in all areas of business, ministry, leadership, non-profit, missions, church planting and education. By the time a student graduates, they will have 4+ years of experience in their chosen field, as well as, a significantly reduced tuition cost.
The Oaks School of Leadership is located approximately 20 miles south of Dallas, Texas. The Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex is one of the fastest growing urban centers in the nation. Though OSL is close to Dallas, our church campus and university campus both have a small-town feel as both locations are in smaller towns of Red Oak and Waxahachie, Texas.
Financial Aid & COST
All SAGU-OSL students have access to both federal and state financial aid through our partner universities. Additional scholarships, grants and awards are also available to students. In addition to having access to aid, OSL students are eligible for ALL SAGU scholarship opportunities AND OSL scholarship opportunities.
Job Placement Program
OSL students who complete the 4-Year Track and graduate with a baccalaureate degree from one of our partnering universities have access to the OSL Job Placement Program. Students enter the first phase of this program in year 3.
The graduation and job placement rate for OSL graduates is extremely high. More than 600 students have gone through OSL over the past 8 years, many who are serving in high-caliber leadership positions across the country and around the world.
Students have the option of entering a mentoring relationship with a high-impact leader after year 1 of the program. This relationship continues throughout the student’s educational experience and, in most cases, beyond graduation. Students have monthly 1-on-1’s with their mentors including coaching, prayer and accountability opportunities.
The Oaks School of Leadership has developed an international internship opportunity in Nairobi, Kenya. Students have the option of spending a year in this international location as part of their OSL experience.
The Oaks School of Leadership utilizes faculty from both the accredited university and current practitioners in the areas of study for each degree. Students have the option of learning both in an online format and in person.
