Oaks School of Leadership

Based out of Oaks Church in Dallas, Texas, the Oaks School of Leadership (OSL) exists to position students for effective leadership in a variety of capacities, including ministry, business and non-profit leadership, by providing them with hands-on leadership training combined with an accredited degree.

Beyond the hands-on leadership training, SAGU-OSL students acquire a bachelor's or master's degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU).  SAGU is a private, non-profit university accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associates, baccalaureate, masters and doctoral degrees.

Program Options

The value-added benefit of this program is the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in leadership that complements the student's learning in the classroom.  In completing the program, the student will have completed 4 years of leadership experience in a healthy, vibrant and growing church in addition to the accredited degree.

This hands-on leadership experience is obtained through a variety of program elements including, but not limited to, staff mentorship, project management, volunteerism training, access to pastoral staff and weekly staff meetings, schedule flexibility and accountability, among others.
